Mission

Afterhours Youth Groups was established to develop youth work in the Farnworth & Worsley Methodist Circuit.

The aims of the youth group are.........

to develop, through youthwork, relationships with all young people in the Circuit and surrounding communities, especially who have few

to develop an understanding between local Church and community and any groups of young people.
to identify the needs of individuals and groups and develop appropriate stratergies for action either through the Youth group or workin

to enable young people to take control of decisions affecting their lives
to further the Youth Mission objectives of the Farnworth & Worsley Methodist Circuit of the Methoidst Church , is part of the Bolton &

to provide a creative alterntive to 'hanging out'
to provide a safe environment where all young people are welcomed and respected
to encourage the development of creative living
to provide social, emotional, mental and spirtual development (if required)

AFTERHOURS Youth Group is self funded and managed by volunteers. The group is supported by the Farnworth & Worsley Circuit and the The Methodist Church, and has incorporated all good practices and procedures the Church feel is necessary to enure that all young people are safe at all times during events organised by the group. The group comes un der the governance of Walkden Methodist Church & The Farnworth & Worsley Circuit.

There is no discrimination against race, colour, religion, gender or disability. Everyone within the group are treated as equals with mutual respect and consideration.

Everyone is require to act in a reasonable manner and no one will put anyone in danger from acts of bullying or / and an activity which infrnges the health and safety of any one person young or old. The group operates various procedures and policies to deal with situations of complaints and general matters from time to time may be enforced.
